’Death By Sexy' Album review
Death By Sexy is the perfect name for the new album of Eagles of Death. Not only is the name perfect but also the album cover is exceptionally good as well. Both combined make this album one to go for. However, we should not limit ourselves to only the album art and the name of the new album. What really mater s is not the picture on the album cover but rather the quality of songs.
Mostly, this second album of the famous band Eagles of Death Metal has been received quite positively by the people. Mostly, all critics have said that the music is quite upbeat and would do perfectly for a bar. Most people have said that the music of this album and most of its songs “are simply fun to listen to”.
Though this Death by Sexy was recorded in 2005 and was rumored to be released in 2005, it got a bit late in releasing and it was promptly released in 2006. Soon it started receiving many positive comments from critics and it gained a position of number 72 out of 100 on the Metacritic which showed that this album was definitely good stuff. Moreover, Death By Sexy also received four out of five stars by many critics such as the Uncut and Allmusic.
This album has a total of 13 tracks while the European version comprises of 1 5tracks meaning it has two extra tracks. The tracks which have gained the most popularity is “I Gotta Feeling (Just Nineteen)” and people have been raving about its lyrics and beat all over. “I Gotta Feeling (Just Nineteen)” is a song that people claim can be listened to on repeat. However, the album does have a few songs which people say can’t be heard more than once such as “Shasta Beast”or “The Ballad of Queen Bee and Baby Duck”due to their bizarre lyrics and unusual beats.
However, in the end I would like to say that this album was technically a success as it did have a few good songs which were not only quite enjoyable but had a hint of humor in them. The album in itself has no darkness to it in terms of drugs or other issues like that. It is actually clean music which is a lot of fun to listen to. Now go get your other Eagles of Death Metal albums in storage for safe keep and let have a party.
