The Eagles of Death Metal at the Voodoo Experience
As most of you should know by now The Eagles of Death Metal will be playing The Voodoo Experience which happens every year in New Orleans Louisiana. If you can afford to get a ticket it’s definitely worth going, not only to see The Eagles of Death Metal but also to absorb and enjoy the festival as a whole. The Voodoo Experience (or Fest as it’s sometimes known) is a music and arts festival known for programming and embracing many different musical styles. It has a brilliant vibe and has been nominated for Pollstars Music Festival of the year twice, which goes to show how beloved it s among music fans. The timing of The Voodoo Experience (which takes place over Halloween weekend) couldn’t be better for creating an amazing and possibly potentially spooky atmosphere too. I genuinely can’t wait to see The Eagles of Death Metal live again and can honestly say that they are the best live band I’ve seen and (having been an avid music fan since the age of thirteen) I’ve seen a hell of a lot of live bands! No one can compare to Jesse Hughes and in my opinion he really is one of the most joyful and charismatic front men I’ve ever seen. Of course with a room full of die hard fans it’s not hard to get people going but Jesse manages to warm up the entire crowd so that even those people who were dragged along by their partner say and hadn’t seen the band before leave as devoted fans. To be honest even if money is tight for you right now (and let’s face it for many people it certainly is) I’d still recommend you beg, steal or borrow to get a ticket. Talking of money being tight I bought a new Samsung camera for the festival as I’ve been using my phone to take photos for the past three years and the results aren’t great. Anyway I managed to use some comet.co.uk discount vouchers which I was pretty pleased about and now means I can justify spending more on other essentials such as beer and festival merchandise!
