Metal music, even critised by many because of its hard sound, remains one of the main branches of the modern day music culture, attracting many fans and creating good conditions for proclaiming the ideas of the new generations of metal lovers.

A group that has made a valueable contribution in the world of metal is the Eagles of Death Metal. Founded in 1998 as a garage rock group, the boys from the band gradually increased their success and produced a number of successful albums, the tracks of which are being among the favourites of fans throughout the whole world, and not just high school students or people living out of camper vans.

After its foundation, the band created several successful tracks for a couple of metal compilation albums. Enjoying the love of the fans and playing many times in front of the audience, the band was gradually advancing in the music industry being closely followed by music agencies and music analysists. So when in 2004 their first debut album, Peace, Love and Death Metal, was released, the general approval rates of their music were largely possitive. After attracting the attention of many in the show business and enterteinment industry, some of the tracks of the band were included in many American commercials spreading the sound of the group even among non-metal fans. Electronics Art, a major gaming industry giant, used some of the band’s tracks in the soundtracks of some of their games and Hollywood movie producers used one of the band’s songs for the soundtrack of the movie Thank you For Smoking.

Later in their career, in 2006 and 2009, the band released two more albums, both following the previous one by being used for soundtracks of mainly games. The band perfomed at concerts and thus gained a significant approval among fans and even non-metal listeners admit to enjoy the music of the band. Currently metal fans are awaiting their new project that might be significant for the advance of the band to the top Metal Bands for the new generations.
