Wow! What a show it was! You are very much aware that you have seen a great, great show when once it’s over you just want to get home and play their songs over and over again. It’s a great show when you remember it a year later as if it was yesterday. Well that is what happened to me when I saw the Eagles of Death Metal at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. It was one Saturday night in February last year I will long remember (when I was teaching overseas). The crowd was ecstatic.
Jesse “the Devil”Hughes and his crew had just kicked of their 2009 world tour which at the time took them across the world to about forty venues. So it was just a pit stop in Vegas and I was there. The show was what could be typical for the ardent EODM fan and a unique experience for first timers. People were having themselves a lot of fun as the band went through their set. There was screaming, dancing and all to compliment music that was played. I remember hear my favourites like “I Only Want You”and “Now I’m a Fool.”The vocals and music was amazing as they went through the crowds favourite and a few of the not so popular tunes.

When they played “Stuck in the Metal,”and “Already Died”I remember feeling the vibe in the place get really intense. The band’s interaction with the crowd was great and we all loved it.

It was more like a jam session with lots of people. Folks were singing along and sipping whatever drink they could get their hands on to enjoy. I don’t know how these guys go about creating music but the end result is simply genius and their fans can’t wait for much more from them.
